Our Mission

Our vision is a connected system of parks and Indigenous protected areas that is cared for, resilient, and full of life, generating jobs, wealth and other benefits for people and other species.

To build the greatest system of parks and Indigenous protected areas in the world.

We're here to help you enjoy and protect them for now, for all, for always.

Founded in 2018, BC Parks Foundation is the official charitable partner to BC’s parks and Indigenous protected areas. We exist to spark joy, action, and lasting protection for the places that shape who we are as British Columbians.

We also exist to make it easy and rewarding for everyone to get involved in conservation—whether by donating, sharing, volunteering, or simply enjoying the land.

Parks and protected areas are the heart of BC. They’re where we go to feel free, to heal, and to connect. Our work is rooted in gratitude, powered by people, and guided by deep respect for nature and community.

What We Do

We support projects that expand, enhance, and connect protected areas across BC so they remain places of beauty, healing, and belonging for generations to come.

Protect

We preserve ecologically and culturally important lands, ensuring they remain wild and beautiful forever.

Connect

We create accessible, inclusive opportunities for people to experience the mental, physical and emotional benefits of nature.

Sustain

We support community science, and local stewardship, working together with communities across the province to build long-term care for BC’s parks and wildlife.
