ȽÁU,WELṈEW̱/ John Dean Park

ȽÁU,WELṈEW̱/John Dean Park is a beautiful, culturally and historically important park. It is one of the only places left on the Saanich Peninsula where you can still walk through virgin stands of old-growth Douglas fir forest. The extensive trail network offers a variety of hiking experiences, all within 30 minutes of Victoria, where visitors can see these old growth trees, along with Garry oak meadows, wildflowers and spectacular views of the peninsula and ocean.

This incredible provincial park, like many others in B.C., is available to visitors at little to no cost, even as annual visits rise each year.

We need good-natured people like you to help us protect and sustain B.C.’s provincial parks and protected area for future generations.
