BC Parks Foundation Launches a Bold New Visual Identity

Since 2019, you've protected more than 290,000 acres of some of the most beautiful land in BC. You’ve helped restore critical habitats, enhanced our parks with accessible infrastructure, and supported initiatives that connect millions of people more deeply with nature.

That momentum inspired a bold new look. Working with Vancouver-based design studio Burnkit, we’ve created a refreshed brand that captures the scale of what we’ve achieved and invites even more people to be part of what’s next.

“This new evolution reflects the Foundation we’ve become and the one we’re building,” says Ashley Aubrey, VP of Marketing and Communications. “It’s forward-focused, ambitious, and designed to inspire people to see what’s possible when we work together.”

The new design system highlights four key elements:

1. Bold typography with a distinct character makes a strong brand statement and draws you into the content.

2. A vibrant family of colours that energize and unite our initiatives.

3. Expansive imagery that lets BC’s beauty tell the story.

4. Simple, impactful graphic elements and infographics that celebrate outcomes and show the scale of what’s possible.

“We wanted the brand to feel fresh and modern, but also intentional,” says Dylan Staniul, Principal, Brand & Design Strategy. “It carries the Foundation’s big ideals with real gravitas, while staying approachable—because protecting nature is something everyone can be part of.”

“The visual stats and metrics quantify the outcomes of BC Parks Foundation,” says Josh Dunford, Partner at Burnkit. “They allow people to be proud of the achievements they've made together.”

Beyond a new look, the refreshed brand is built to tell the stories that matter: the projects that protect BC’s lands and waters, the people restoring ecosystems, and the communities finding joy in nature. By sharing these stories clearly and powerfully, we hope to inspire more British Columbians to join the movement and make an even bigger impact.

“British Columbians love these places, and we’re lucky to live in one of the most beautiful parts of the world,” says Andy Day, CEO. “This new look shows the energy and spirit behind what it takes to protect them, and it makes it easy for everyone to be part of it. It’s an open invitation to jump in.”
