Donate a Car Canada accepts Vehicle Donations for the BC Parks Foundation. Free towing is provided in most areas across Canada, or you can drop off your vehicle to maximize your donation. When you donate your car, truck, RV, boat, or motorcycle to the BC Parks Foundation through Donate A Car Canada, it will either be recycled or sold at auction (depending on its condition, age and location). Donate a Car Canada will look after all the details to make it easy for the BC Parks Foundation to benefit. After your vehicle donation is complete, our charity will send you a tax receipt and will put your gift to good use. Please click here to donate a vehicle.
Note that Canada Revenue Agency doesn’t allow charitable gift receipts for services.
Including real estate or publicly traded securities as a charitable gift to the BC Parks Foundation in your will is also a great way to leave a legacy. For your consideration, sample wording for your will could include, "I wish to make a gift to BC Parks Foundation of 625 Howe Street, Suite 1550, Vancouver, British Columbia V6C 2T6, charitable registration number 731307492BW0001, as follows:
(i) select from publicly traded securities that I own, if any, at the date of my death, securities (the “Gift Shares”) that collectively have a total fair market value as of the date of my death of not more than $____ (the “Donation Amount”) and transfer the Gift Shares to the BC Parks Foundation;
(ii) if the value of the Gift Shares is less than the Donation Amount, pay the BC Parks Foundation an amount equal to the difference between the Donation Amount and the value of the Gift Shares; and
(iii) it is my hope that the Donation Amount will be applied by the BC Parks Foundation to support the work of the BC Parks Foundation."
Please contact us if you would like to discuss including a legacy gift, real estate, or securities in your will. You can use the form below, email firstname.lastname@example.org, or call 778-980-1857.

Princess Louisa Inlet needs your help
Located along British Columbia's Sunshine Coast, Princess Louisa Inlet is often referred to as the Yosemite of the North for good reason: it is considered the best example of a southern fjord in North America. This roadless, undeveloped inlet is a premiere destination for boaters, water-sport adventurers and outdoor enthusiasts throughout the Pacific Northwest.
It is largely unprotected and most of the southern side is now up for sale.
Three lots of land covering 4.5 kilometers (three miles) of waterfront and more than 800 hectares (2,000 acres) of pristine watershed in the inlet are up for sale. We have signed an exclusive Purchase and Sale Agreement with the vendor, giving us until the end of August before our deal expires. The BC Parks Foundation is incredibly concerned about the Inlet's uncertain future, as any development in this delicate ecosystem would be detrimental. Your support is urgently needed to preserve this gem of a place - forever.
This is one of Canada's most breathtaking destinations. It is home to grizzly bears, mountain goats, eagles, the threatened marbled murrelets, northern goshawk, lichen and moss communities, marine life, and other flora and fauna. It deserves protection.
How you can help
Thanks to friends like you, we have already successfully raised almost $2 million, covering two-thirds of the cost. Now we need to close the gap.
We are seeking partners that want to join us in creating a legacy in one of the Pacific Northwest’s most breathtaking destinations. If you donate through this page, your contribution will be put towards protecting the Princess Louisa Inlet. You may also donate by downloading and filling out this form and emailing it back to us at email@example.com.
The Princess Louisa International Society currently helps fund an annual park ranger position in the area, providing long-term stewardship capacity so that your legacy will be looked after into the future.
Our goal is to permanently protect Princess Louisa Inlet by purchasing the lots and transferring them to BC Parks for convertsion into a Class A Provincial Park, or land trust properties.
There may be opportunity to bundle it with adjoining Crown lands, properties with conservation covenants and the existing park, to create 9,000 hectares (22,000 acres) of connected and protected land.
The marine portion of the inlet already has federal protection designations. If this long-term goal is successful, it will mean protecting this iconic inlet from mountain top to ocean floor, creating a unique model of whole ecosystem preservation.
Please join us and Princess Louisa Inlet, so we can pass on the magic of this natural treasure, forever.
Where is Princess Louisa Inlet?
If we are not successful in raising the funds by the time our agreement expires at the end of August and the land is sold to another buyer, we will contact all donors who have contributed specifically to Princess Louisa and provided their contact information, to see if they would like a refund.
In every walk with nature, one receives far more than they seek.”
